Are you aware that on the 1st June 2011, Europe banned baby bottles containing Bisphenol A (BPA), one of the many Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) present in many food, children's and personal care products? We are happy that this EDC is no longer in our babies' bottles, but what about BPA in the lining of food cans, or EDCs in body lotions and hair dyes? Today you can still buy and use thousands of products containing EDCs despite growing evidence that exposure to them may contribute to a variety of health problems and impacts on wildlife. ICRT wants to have a decisive impact on this issue. Your support will make it possible for ICRT to test a variety of products in different countries and disseminate results to an average of 30 to 40 million of people a month. Furthermore, ICRT will share the results with other organisations in a concerted effort to raise public awareness and influence decision makers in Europe and beyond to adopt a protective approach while regulating EDCs.
